We worked with the design team at Sharper Image to update this versatile and powerful handheld massage device. Now, with an improved grip design, you can use an array of massage techniques to target more muscle groups and achieve greater relaxation and rejuvenation. The new design utilizes the device’s existing pod shape for better leverage without sacrificing portability and power. No additional docks or handles required.

We explored a range of grip configurations, validating with physical prototypes. Strict requirements regarding internal components played an important role in evaluating the feasibility of concepts. In communication with the factory, we redesigned the internal layout to provide a new compact device form. The subtle new grip provides an ergonomic improvement to the design without adding bulk, differentiating the Palm from the competition. With this refined form, the full power of the device can be utilized with reduced effort, leading to a happier tension-reducing product experience.
