Sharper Image Hollywood Vanity Mirror – 2023

The design team at Sharper Image tasked us with creating a new high-end Illuminated Vanity Mirror. This elegant, large-format mirror is designed to the ultimate makeup and hair prep assistant to your morning routine.

The most promising forms were compared on various aspects. Fan and button placement, base design, and mirror shape were all considered during the design process.

The LED Bulbs around the perimeter of the mirror are activated through a touch interface on the base. Slide you finger from left to right to turn on and adjust the brightness level of the light, or simply tap each individual icon to cycle through the 3 stages. Slide between warm and cool to select LED temperature or tap to incrementally shift from cool outdoor to warm evening indoor. Tap on the fan icon to turn on the front facing Quick-Dry makeup vents.

The final mirror dimensions of 16″ x 12″ proved optimal for observing the full face, and storing on various tables, dressers, and countertops. 360-degree LED Bulb illuminations, Qi Charging and built in Quick-Dry makeup fan, are all powered by a slim USB-C port in the back of the unit. A second port provides accessory charging. The mirror was designed to support and charge any sized cellphone with built-in Qi capabilities. The subtle support platform holds the phone at the same angle as the mirror, perfect for makeup tutorials or taking FaceTime calls with friends or family while getting ready.

The SpaStudio Hollywood Vanity Mirror is a full beauty suite with all the amenities to help you get hair-, makeup-, and nail-ready. Built-in functionality for the Qi wireless charging stand allow you to listen to your playlist, watch a tutorial, or charge your smartphone.
