Motorola VC6096 Rugged Fleet PC – 2006

d:e worked with Motorola to develop a rugged portable computer designed to be a logistics solution mounted in fleet vehicles. The design process involved extensive user research and story boarding to come up with the best user interface approach. The product also needed to withstand extremely harsh work environments while still looking like a professional device and relating to Motorola’s corporate design language.

The VC6096 meets military specs for vibration, shock, and solar radiation, and can withstand a serious amount of punishment.
