KLD Electric Scooter + Motor Housing – 2009

Propulsion created this scooter and motor housing design to demonstrate KLD’s innovative electric motor technology. KLD’s motors use thin-film composite magnets to create a transmission-less architecture that is significantly more efficient than regular electric motor systems. It uses 50% fewer parts and has virtually no lag. The motor is housed within the rear hub of the scooter, allowing for a highly distinctive form.
